Richmond Metering and
Regulation Station
Richmond, Virginia

The Richmond M&R Station was constructed to provide additional natural gas to the City of Richmond Department of Public Utilities distribution system. RK&K analyzed the needs of the City by creating a natural gas distribution model (GASTOOLS) to evaluate network demands and delivery points. As a result, RK&K designed a 1,200-foot, 8-inch high pressure lateral across the Chickahominy River flood plain and a 25 million cubic-feet-per-day metering and regulation Photo05station located within the Chickahominy River Resources Protection Area. RK&K's designs addressed our client's needs as well as the environment.
